New Owner 09 SC430

So your garage is like mine when I got my SC in 2008 - I had a 2006 RL and a 2005 SC430. I since gave up the RL but man that was one good car in the snow. With winter tires, unstoppable. Compared with the SC, the ride is pretty smooth too but obviously no V8 torque out of the 3.5 V6. Be interested to hear your comparisons between the two after you have put some miles on the SC.

I also have a 2004 LS430. Maybe it's just me but the LS tend to downshift when it should, the SC is lazy downshifting, I really need to press on the gas to the floor for the SC to downshift.
The RL is quite when accelerating, it can do 5k rpm and you really can't tell unless your looking at the tach.
I do agreed the RL is really good in the snow, even with all season tires.

Good Catch, also note that the 2nd gen gs300/400/430 suspension parts are interchangeable only on this model vice versa. On most Lexus the production number gets smaller with age increase, so i bet they only made a handful of these models.
