I have been looking for an SC430 and this one became available at a local Toyoto Dealership.

Its a great looking car, except the description says silver but the car is red. The Carfax and the Lexus Drivers website says it is silver. It has obviously been painted, but there is no accident report on either CarFax or Lexus Drivers. I am walking away, but one other thing that is strange is the VIN number. It has an X in it. JTHNF48YX30042532

Have any of you ever seen this VIN before. I have looked at lots of SC430's online and have not noticed the X before

I ran the vin direct and it shows up as a 2003 sc430 color is decoded . I would run like the wind from this deal

I ran the VIN and the color came up as millenium silver metallic.

funny you have this story because something similar happened to me. I am also in the market, found a car I wanted, the seller on craigslist showed me pictures of a black SC430 but the VIN showed up as mercury metallic. I never responded again.

I walked away. Too many others to choose from. I was just curious as to what you all thought. Thanks for the input. The search continues. The sad part is it was only 3 miles from the house.
