Default Tech Stream Software Cable ver 2.0.4

I wanted to dedicate a thread to the Tech Stream Software and the newer faster cable that is now available.
This cable and software will work on 32 and 64 bit machines running win XP, Vista, 7 and 8. And if it runs on win8 it should run on win10.

If you have knowledge and experience with this software or have links to the newer firmware version cable, please chime in...

I currently have the cable with firmware version 1.4.1 and it is running on a Win XP machine. It works well and the software can be purchased on eBay or Amazon for around $25.
This version is very slow.
I also know some of you have been able to load the cable drivers on newer versions of Windows along with 64bit machines. We can explore that but I hope we can lean forward and focus on the newer cable versions.

About two weeks ago I ordered a new cable with firmware version 2.0.4 and it should arrive any day now. I ordered the $29.99 version.
I will let you know how it runs and if it will load on Win10 64bit.
If it does, it should be much faster and it will let you know that I located a good vendor.
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from...2.0.4&_sacat=0

I encourage all of you to purchase this software because it will help you more than you will ever know, until you use it, and it will save you a bunch of money because you will be able to do your own diagnostics,
Change the car settings, like door locks and if the day time running lights are on or off...there are about 30 different setting for this car.
You can easily program you TPMS sensors and locate one that is going back.
Program your keys and key fobs. Etc

Where do I purchase TPMS sensors?
a set of the OEM sensors, RED, BLUE, WHITE and GOLD are $298 shipped
https://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=2416914&cc=1377817&jnid=468&jpid=1

I replaced one in my wheel with one from Rockauto and when I matched the OEM with the new one, the writing on each sensor was exactly the same.

I'm interested in what you find with the TS software, I'll probably buy my mine this spring and start getting familiar with it. We have TS and other diagnostic software for Toyota's where I work but kinda frown on hooking it up to an employees car lol. At least I can get plenty of help if needed.

Thanks! I will keep posting information in this thread as it relates to Tech Stream.
I also plan to post other Links to other CL threads containing this subject. I know we already have TPMS in the sticky but this will include that subject because TPMS falls under the Tech Stream as an item it programs and maintains.

What settings can I change on my Lexus GS300, GS430, LS430, IS300 or SC430 using Tech Stream?
Why does the VSC light come on after I plug something into the OBDII connector?
The answers are here...

This might be a dumb question, but where is the diagnostic socket located?

Before you make a purchase, let me checkout the new cable and report back to everyone. I want to make sure it is worth the money.

Also, since you are a moderator, would this thread be worthy of becoming a sticky?

Well my new Tech Stream cable has been sitting at customs in New York since the 30 Jan, man our government is slow! It should be heading south tomorrow which means I might get lucky and receive it on Saturday.

I invite any of you to add links to other threads relating to the operation of Tech Stream software and how it can help.
Before you post a link, write a question before the link relating to the subject of the link, i.e. How do you program TPMS sensors?

Guys, this has been discussed before. The 2.0.4 firmware is not new. It has been around for some time. In addition to the link in the previous post see the link below.

Can I monitor O2 Sensors with Tech Stream?
Yes

I am showing you the same screen but different GRAPH settings.
Note the left side, beginning on the fourth pic, I am showing the rest of the item you can monitor.

All of this is just the Engine and ECU
