Wheel Straightening (SC430 OEM Rims)
Hey everyone,
I've owned my 2002 SC430 for 4+ years, and have consistently noticed that my front two tires would loose air approximately once per quarter (four times per year I'd have to add air, even after installing brand-new tires).
Long story short, I had my original OEM Lexus wheels straightened at a "Wheel Rim Straightening Shop" (called "Kwicksilver Wheel Repair", it's a national franchise I believe).
The cost was $100 per wheel ($200 total for the front), and took nearly two hours. I was previously told by the Lexus dealer that my front rims were "bent", but I couldn't see anything wrong with them (to the untrained eye), so I let it go for 4+ years, adding air about every 3 months.
The car now seems to ride better over bumps and potholes (could be just the placebo effect...), and haven't lost air yet.
Anyway, I would recommend this to anyone riding on their original 15+ year old OEM wheels.

Good to know Jason. Also, if you still have the TPS in your tires, be sure to have them replace the seals every time they replace (or remove) the tires. Those are known to become leaky after a few years if the seals aren't maintained (i.e. replaced).
