I believe the strips StillLine and I used (plus some more here) are much better.

I personally feel that these and similar types look better than the yellow COB style. The yellow background, when not illuminated (in daytime) just throws off the look of the SC. That's just my opinion. I will state though, that these will not be as bright as the COB style.

You might want to check out your local Walmart. Mine has a set similar to these on the shelf.

I too hated the yellow DRLs.
After searching for an LED add on I decided to go with replacement of the high beam lamps which are fed low current while being used as DRLs. Lowering the current turns them yellow and they look terrible (might as well run kerosene lamps like the early days of autos ).
The lamps below are 8000K color - very blue white at full current (a more piercing high beam) and stay very white at the lower current while operated as DRLs.
The improvement in the look is dramatic, installation is easy and everything stays stock.

However, they actually do have lamps like these, too. I mentioned Walmart because most people here would have no idea about Meijers.

I think you're referring to the parking lamps on the side of the headlights. The DRL are part of the highbeam circuit. The highbeam bulb (7005 IIRC) has two filaments. The low beam is a completely different bulb (an HID) in a different compartment of the headlight housing. During the day the smaller filament of the highbeam is triggered and only lit at about 25%. Then when you flick the highbeam, the other filament activates giving 100% brightness, and also turns off the foglights. I have replaced my high beam bulb with a LED which doesn't not have this dual filament feature, therefore only a portion of the LED honeycomb is illuminated with DRL function, and then with highbeam the other 2 rows illuminate. Much less brightness and a nondirectional beam. But I never use highbeams anyway, so no loss for me.

I don't how long it has been since you've been here, but Meijer kinda sucks lately. They keep shrinking the departments and less and less product choices.
