I have been reading these forums and a lot of people say that after they scan there cars the vac and vsrlights come on and then they have to jump there scan port through number 3 and 5 .
Question is there a scanner that will not through these other lights off. Thanks jimbo

Retro has a thread on that subject and I think he clipped pin 14.

A couple of us just purchased an OBDII connector from eBay for $2 and jumped pins 4&14. Then after I use the code reader, I just plug in the connector and it resets the lights. It takes about 30 seconds to use the reset tool.

There is a thread about building the reset tool, let me know if you are interested.

I have never tried those pins but if you try them let us know what they do...here is the link when I built the VSC reset tool.
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc4...c430-help.html

I have jumped pins 4&14 over 20 times after I use the code reader or the Tech Stream software to change the settings on the SC430 and it always resets the VSC lights.

As an alternative, if you didn't want to clip the pin in your scanner, you could make an adapter that is male OBDII on one end and female OBDII on the other end and just connect up all the populated pins except for that one. That will leave your scanner intact and allow you to hook it up annoying idiot light free.
