Default Getting this dash light

I just noticed this dash light on. I do not have the manual but it seems like its the check transmission or maybe check engine. Any thoughts or checklist what I should go thru. The car is fairly new for me so I am not overly familiar with it.

You are going to have to get it scanned with an OBD tool. Autozone will probably do this for free.

You are welcome. The CEL could mean literally anything which is nobody could provide you with a direct answer.

I think there is a procedure to get the dash to flash out codes, but it is so much easier to just get it scanned (or buy a scanner - they are quite cheap now.) This will also allow you to clear it if it is non-critical and possibly non-recurring.

Once you get the codes, post them here. Many of us have the list of Lexus specific fault codes so we can help you figure out what to do.

Or invest in a modest amount on an OBD Scanner, they are just $50 nowadays. Well worth it.

Were you able to get the code or codes read?
