Do both windows roll down? If for some reason they are damaged and won't roll down, that would inhibit the top drop feature. Secondly, the tonnaeu cover sensor can be "jumped," to make sure that it is not faulty. In the trunk only one side (driver) has this sensor. You can remove it and just disconnect the harness and connect both wires to give a constant loop to the control the sensor as if the cover were in place. That would tell you that this switch is bad. Theoretically, you can do the same thing with the valet switch in the glove box to test if that switch is defective.

Thanks for the tips. Both windows do roll down. The valet switch appears to override the trunk switch, so is it safe to assume thats not the issue?

These pages may help...the blinking light means the conditions have not been met to operate the roof.
If it were me, the first place I would check is the trunk cover micro switch.

The rims are for 2006 and up, nice! What kind of rubbers are they on?

You mentioned in your first post that it only blinks four times, I tried mine today with trunk cover rolled up and I stopped counting the blinks at 30...
I will look through the manual and hope the four blinks actually mean something.

Also, you could try to manually open the top.

In a previous post there is a picture of the PROBLEM SYMTOMS TABLE. The first item tells you to go to page 05-1416. Here is the page.

I believe the unlock is first thing that happens in the sequence.

BTW, here is a stupid question...has the battery ever been disconnected Or replaced after this problem showed up?
If not, disconnect it for 5-10 minutes...

I couldn't say for sure, but will definitely try to disconnect the battery.

Guys, is this the same software for TechStream? I read the PC requirement that it could run on Vista and Windows 7.
