An interesting side note: the original wheels with OEM TPMS sensors were stored in my garage for nearly two years as I had other wheel/tire combos installed. I just ignored the TPMS warning light during that time. Put the original wheels back on after the brake job and the TPMS light went right out like no big deal. I'm pretty sure these sensors are the originals from 2006.

Did you remember to flip the wheel set switch in the glove box? If not, that may be the reason your 2nd set of wheels lit up the light, unless, of course, the 2nd set just doesn't have sensors in them. (The switch allows you to switch between 2 sets of wheels.)

My other two sets of wheels (G-SPIDERS & '13+ GS WHEELS) do not have sensors. My point was that I figured my 10 year old OEM sensors that had sit idle for nearly two years would undoubtedly have at least one dead battery. Nope, they still work like a champ (knock on wood).

Ah got it. The batteries in these sensors should last anywhere from 4 to 10 years. I had a couple go out at about 4 & 6 years but the others are still working, though one of them is probably getting weak. (It had problems when it got really cold a week or so ago. I suspect that the battery is low.)

FedEx stopped by to deliver Megan coilover today I am excited to install and start to enjoy them, but not excited doing it in a cold garage. I usually have the maintenance and mods done in the spring and fall when the weather is nice. I do not think I can wait until spring....

Wasn't exactly today, but I upgraded to the LED tail lights and painted my extra set of clear side markers black. Next step will be to black out the tail lights (except for the clear turn signal) and garnishes, and then smoke the headlights and fog lights.

I think it looks good the way it is now Shawn. My preference would be no more smoking. Your car with black color and chrome trim already offers great contrast and visual appeal. SCs are refined touring sports car, not muscle cars that are loud and teenager oriented. Just my opinion that some exterior mod may not fit its personality.

Installed a Cusco Shock Tower Brace. I'm not convinced that this is stiff enough to improve the rigidity when the top is down, but will give it a try. Install is easy.

Just picked up a 2002 SC a few weeks ago pretty clean inside and out but definitely could use some suspension refreshing

Ordered the Figs front end refresh kit with the SPC upper control arms, BC coils, and new brakes and rotors, car is in the shop currently getting it all in, will report back when it's out. Looking forward to the results.

(Work Wheel is a spare for my IS250, wheels for this SC are coming soon)

congrats on your new toy

i think this is one of the finest cars I have ever had and it occurs to me that this forum has probably completely turned over because it started with people that bought these cars new, and now its all of us that had to wait and buy them used

Thank you, it's a car I've had my eye on for a while and found a clean version that would be a good base for a basic project.

I see you were a former MKIV owner as well
