I'm sorry but I'm not a fan. The SC430 has smooth sophisticated lines and the shark fin throws that off. I see those fins more on European BMW's and such. Let them keep that cliche, in my opinion.

I put a tiny SAT receiver inside the back window (i.e. in the passenger's compartment) behind the glass that runs between the two rear headrests. PLUS: very unnoticeable; MINUS: signal drops. Habious put his on the trunk lid and has no dropouts, but it is noticeable.

As for the shark fin, I don't get it at all. To me it looks disproportionate and out of place. But aesthetics are to each, their own.

I can understand using the shark fin or something similar if it were actually functional and placing it maybe above the front windshield, but this one is only decorative and not so complimentary, IMHO. I also put my XM radio circular antenna rear to the wind deflector on the package tray, with enough slack so when the tray flips up the wire folds out of the way. I've also seen Habious's photos where he's placed it on the trunk lid, which is also less of a "sore thumb." But all in all, since this fin isn't an actually functional antenna, i feel that it does disrupt the aesthetics also. Thanks to the OP for following up an idea that has been discussed so many times on the thread. Now with photo evidence, everyone can make their own decision. Thanks!

The ES has it, the GS has it, the IS has it and the RC has it, so I though why not the SC?
Personally, I like it, but of course, different folks have different strokes. Remember the negative review of the SC?
When I posted my SC photos on the Facebook, my nephew called and said "the wheels have to go". I don't think so.
The only thing that worried me was the interference with the top down operation, since it didn't, I'm happy.

I respect you guys opinions. Thanks for the input. Happy Thanksgiving !!!

I like the fin
