I might like to start with my SC430, and if I get hooked, that will just be another incentive to add a 3rd (faster/sportier) car for autocross.
I've even thought about something like Spec Miata, but I don't know much about it or if they even do that around here (North Mississippi). My concern with getting into any amateur "racing" is that I know almost nothing about repairing or maintaining cars, only to take it to the dealer /mechanic if something goes wrong. Is knowlege about or experience with repairing cars necessary for autocross or other types of amateur racing?

I guess you could be the first with an SC430 at an SCCA autocross?
