Maybe time for my 430 to move on
Well I'm thinking that it's time for someone else to enjoy my '02 SC430, as much as I have loved and babied the car. Three kids in college, harsh winters, blah, blah. And I'm seeing all these great 4th gen GS350's coming off three-year leases that can be had in the low 30's (RC350's not in my budget)
arggh. decisions, decisions So once I fix the driver's side door release cable, and put some new front upper control arms in, I'll let the members here know. sigh

Feel your pain.. 2006 w/60k time to move on as you say..it would be helpful to see what potential buyers are saying about the SC and your method of selling this classic ... to give those on the forum some heads up on what they might encounter when they have to make this excruciating decision...good luck ...

Yep. But the top.....THE TOP.....the damn top! Unless one doesn't care about the fixed in place top. Not the same car. The only car that can replace my SC is either (hopefully) a new Lexus SC replacement in 2017...whatever they end up naming it...or more controversially on this forum... a Mercedes SL. I think the SL reliability is still an issue if you own it out of warranty.

I love the retractable hard-top. No doubt. I'll have another convertible. Just a little hiatus until I can get a few more of my kids out of college. It just isn't practical for me right now in my life to park an expensive toy in the garage from November until March or later.
I just hope that I can sell my 430!
