i have a 03sc430 with 144,000 on the clock and the rear of the car shakes around 60-70 mph
ive had all tires road forced balanced nothing wrong with tires rides fine until i get to 60 mph
i heard a click noise once when the car was parked in a driveway on an angle

hey guys
by the way the search function revealed nothing about rear end shake
so dont flame me

wheels are verde madonna the tires are 255/35/20 all road force balance and zeroed out

what should i have checked?

This may be a silly question but do you have the original wheels with tires or any wheels with tires to use for testing purposes?

is it possible to move the fronts to rear and rears to front?

Have you always had this problem, if not when did it start, slowly or all at once?

The car rode fine and then the shake started up front
I moved the tire I thought was shaking to the rear had it road force balanced it zeroed out
I just had all of the tires checked out all of them checked out fine
But I still have that vibration in the rear

check alignment. I know..sounds crazy...

Also, I assume these wheels use hub adapters since few aftermarket wheels are made specifically for Lexus. More than a few people found their shaking goes away with the stock wheels

Also, be very precise with the pattern you use to torque the lug nuts, as well as applying the same torque to all the lugs on a wheel. Don't overtorque.

If the problem was up front and you moved one wheel to the rear and now the problem is in the rear (so to speak) it appears to be that wheel.

If it were me, I would move the one wheel back to the front to see if the problem follows.

If it does, you have a bad wheel...

BTW, the click you heard was probably the brakes. (The noise doesn't really indicate a problem, just an annoyance.) There are a couple of threads on rectifying the noise. (Look for "brake clunk", there's probably other words that work also.)

I also believe this to be either a bent rim/wheel or lack of hubcentric rings on the aftermarket rims. Please check those two recommendations out and let us know what you come up with. Good luck!

Update......
One of my wheel was slightly bent
But.... After having my wheel road forced balanced ( high tech)I went to another shop (old school) found a old guy with a manual balancing machine (very low tech),balanced my wheels and the shake is minimal
So much for high tech!!!!!
