Default Sculpture

There is a very clever guy in the UK called Dave Clark who make automotive sculptures and I commissioned one of my car.
He designs the model, has the parts laser cut and then bends and assembles before spraying it in your choice of colour.

The finished article, what do you guys think?

I love it.

Cheers
Steve

Steve, I remember The Dave Clark Five. I think they sang Bits & Pieces. They were part of the British Invasion here in America.
I guess it's not the same Dave Clark is it. I also guess it's about time for bed for you. I was thinking about you watching Le Man again this year. Were you there? Must be nice to be able to just drive to something like that every year.
Your model looks neat! Later

Hi Mandy

Thanks.
I you look at Daves website http://www.daveclarkdesigns.com/Auto.../?page_id=1915
the sculptures vary in price from around $300 t0 $600 depending on model.
Obviously one off commissions as mine was are nearer the upper amount.

The sculptures are made as the artists 'take' on each car and he has shown mine as 'slammed' as my car is on air. i.e. with the wheels disappearing into the arches. Off course our cars are not 'super cars' which he mainly makes, but as he says he not only make 'super cars' he will sculpt any car that the customer feels is 'super' and I feel that about mine.

Cheers
Steve

Hi Eddy

Good to hear from you bud, hope things are better for you now.

Your memory is good, but no it is not the same guy.

At Le Mans again this year, but probably give it a miss next year and go to the Le Mans Classic which has far less spectators. This year was huge with Porsche being there too, 250.000 spectators and it is getting more and more difficult to move around over the weekend.
Now that Ford are entering with the new GT40 there will be even more next year.
Its great to drive down through France and next year we may go to Germany to Nurburgring too.

Keep well old fella and give my best to your wife.

Bed time for me soon.

Cheers
Steve
