So I completed my WiFi Screen Mirroring Build yesterday. Works perfectly. Resolution is clean and clear, sound is crisp and great (passing through the Vaistech SL3U). I have yet to check if video syncs up with the audio in terms of spoken word, but will report soon. I did test sound (mp3, live radio, YouTube) and it works and sounds great. Waze works perfectly! OEM NAV screen still works too.

I've decided to do some rewiring on my audio as some of my levels are a little higher than others (ie. my ipod plays louder vs the media player vs the screen mirror) but I believe this is due to piggyback cables. I will be finding a more fluid setup and have ordered parts. Also, I've installed the screen mirror device on top of my other builds so everything still works as it did previously, including Bluetooth, media player, iPod integration). As you will see, I put a simple A/B switch in the glove box. Please excuse the grommets, I have yet to fine great ones. That switch allows me to switch btn the Asus Media Player and the Screen Mirror. For the most part, I will just keep the system on screen mirror. The entire system is controlled by my key fob remote. Anyway, here are some pics!

Some more pics... Of course, when I take photos with my phone the image on the screen will be the same photo... haha... a little trippy. A dream within a dream within a dream.

So I did check out the audio sync on a few videos and movies including a few streams and even on YouTube and they synced up pretty good. No noticeable delay in on-screen spoken word and actual audio. I will say that I feel that this could change depending on where you mount the unit. Since mine is right near the console and i sit in the driver's seat, less distance and less signal loss. If, for example, someone mounts this unit in the trunk it might change that aspect. But anyway, I'm happy that I completed this install. It was relatively very simple in comparison to most of my other installs. Currently my plan is to use it for Waze specifically and for incoming texts to be visible on the screen but I'm sure I will find more uses for it with time.
