Default Turbo sizing for my single SC430 project

Hi all,
I'm picking a suitable turbo for my SC430...it will be a budget build using many of the parts I already have some will be pulled from my previous E85 450hp 2nd Gen Mazda MX6 build.
Stock engine
Synapse 40mm wastegate
Synapse BOV
AEM FIC8
AEM UEGO Wideband
Modified stock fuel injectors to flow 550CC
Walbro Highflow fuel pump
water to air intercooler
GM FLEX sensor
Zeitronix Ethanol Content Analyzer

and I will be buying a cheap Chinese turbo, I've used 2 in the past they ran fine on high boost... please don't tell me don't use it or I'm gonna get shrapnels in my engine...... I'm past that stage.
I just need suggestions on turbo sizing.
I will be running 5psi to start with I want the turbo to spool with moderate throttle at maybe 3000rpm and get on full boost by 4000rpm. I don't want to boost under 2500RPM which is pretty much highway cruise condition.
What do you think of this? too small or just right?
Thanks in advance.

Im not sure if your familiar with my turbo build I did on the 2002 gs430 I have but I put down 453rwhp and 430 ft. lbs. and if you look at the dyno sheet it made the most amazing horsepower and torque curve ive ever seen. they literally paralled each other. I used a turbonetics journal bearing with an .81ar exhaust housing. it was called a hurricane lety. the reason im no longer running the turbo setup is the fic8 is not sophisticated enough to daily driving it ran like crap. if you have any questions hit me up.

Ah nice... just had a look through your build, interesting idea of using a Upipe for routing the pipe, good reference.
I am planning to do a low mount turbo setup, as I already have PPE headers if not enough clearance I'll run the pipes to the front and mount the turbo somewhere behind the radiator... use some low profile pusher fans maybe.
I'm gonna piggy back the FIC8 first since I am not keen on going stand alone, see how I go 1st. If doesnt work I'll get something else.
gonna stick to 5psi I can't afford to blow up my daily car right now.
And thanks... I will need all the luck I can get.

Default My SC430 single turbo project is almost done

Hey guys,
I'm new here but been searching different options for built a budget single turbo for my SC430.
That's what I have right now:
Mustang Cobra fuel injectors (280cc), used APEX SAFC II piggy back ($285), a pipe with a loop coming from the driver side manifold and joining a custom manifold in the passenger. Cheap ebay t70 turbo kit ($800) , intercoooler, blowoff, oil hoses and piping included with the kit, 340 lph Aeromotive fuel pump ($160).

Results in the dyno:
Running 6psi 360hp @ the wheel ( is around 445hp at the crank)
363 torque. A/F ratio around 11.5

I started with cheap smaller turbo with a internal wastegate but was producing a lot of back pressure so I decided to change it for a T70 ( check my pictures), my wastegate is 44mm and is working fine but maybe a 60mm could be a better option, the downpipe is 3" and splitted in two 2.5" without restriction to two high flow mufflers. The guys in the shop reinstalled the oxygen sensors. It sounds aggressive and pretty.
Maybe tomorrow they gonna put back in the dyno and try with the factory fuel injectors and the piggy back , I'll be happy if they can handle the 6 psi or 7psi. My goal is to keep my 360hp or get 375hp with the factory fuel injectors and don't hurt the tranny.
I texted the car from 0-60 mph 5s and 0-100 mph less than 13s. I'm guessing maybe a 12.5 to 12.8 in the 1/4 mile.

The most difficult part is to cut and build the manifold.
