Last week when I had my car at Lexus dealership for the air bag recall, they took it upon themselves to do an inspection and came up with a few "recommendations".
The one that intrigues me is "found transmission mount worn/loose" recommend "replace transmission mount". Quoted price $275.
I will take car to my friendly local repair shop this week ( never go to Lexus dealership unless it's free )
I'm no mechanic but I've been around cars for a long time and I've never heard of this before: besides the car only has 50000 miles on it.
Any and all thoughts appreciated. Am I possibly being scammed or is this legit?

you will know when you go to your friend shop and check it out. had to replace my motor mounts at 73000

...many of the forum members have had their trans & motor mounts replaced.I don't think it has to do with the mileage,but more about the age. Also if you've noticed a slight vibration while the car is idling,this is usually a sign of those mounts possibly needing to be changed
