Talking Headlight assembly help??

Have a 2003 SC430 and want to know if I can replace the whole front headlight assembly to the latest ones that would fit my car and year? And where can I get them online?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

THANKS.

In short, you can do it with I believe 06 and up headlights. BUT, you will need to swap some of the harnesses and I believe the low beam motors, and in order to have a flushed fit you need the 06 and up bumper.
Many people have done them and you can see their DIY by doing a search.
You can get them thru the bays or the venders here. Not cheap but worth it to some people.

bb430....

Is that when the new headlight assemblies came out was in 2006 and up? I thought it would just be a simple swap out, but apparently not. And where can I find a breakdown to take the headlight lamps off to even replace bulbs?

You can replace the bulbs relatively easily. The low beams are HIDs but about 4300k and yellowish. Those bulbs can be replaced with 6000k to get a nice real white color. On the passenger side you need to remove the airbox to access the back of the headlight fixture. On the driver's side space is very tight - you have to have really small hands and work by feel. It is a lot easier to drop the front bumper; search for the bumper DIY. The rest of the bulbs can be upgraded with LEDs, as well as the interior, doors, trunk, side markers, back up and tag lights. Check the rules though in FL - we can't do anything in VA that doesn't have the DOT marking on it. If you upgrade you DRLs with LEDs you will not have a high beam ... A lot information about all this in the forum.

I love the blue color SC you have - congrats.

Good luck

Welcome to the forum Fyrgirl.

The '06 and later head light assemblies are different. I'm guessing that if you are wanting to go that route, you'll want to replace the entire assembly rather than just the bulbs. Keep in mind that it is not an exact fit but apparently close enough that several folks have done it and made it work with a minor amount of effort (the extra fitting part, not the replacement part).

Best of luck and let us know how it goes. (Take pictures as you go also. We love pictures.)
