Default 2017 Lexus Sc

...this isn't really a good pic (took it with my phone & pic was in a magazine), but in the May 2015 Car & Driver, there is a article titled "cars worth waiting for"....on page 46, the 2017 Sc is pictured with a small description of the vehicle....

I don't really like the new lexus vacuum cleaner / predator look. Something is lost in the translation. Where is the elegance? The luxury? I don't want a Japanese BMW, I want my lexus.

Cool Interesting

Here's another shot of the same photo from the mag. Interesting looking ride. Wonder if it will actually make it into production?

That is a knockout! I'd buy one in a second and that's not hyperbole. That's JUST WHAT I WANT!

A better shot of the concept car:

According to the article, the 2017 SC will draw styling cues from the highly popular LF-LC Concept car

Here's another artist concept of the design...a little different than either the red or blue versions shown above. Since these are all concept cars, I'm sure the final design will be somewhat different, but quite similar:
I'd like to know if it will have the convertible roof...the red one has the top down, and looks like a two-seater to boot....interesting...

I hope it ends up looking just like the LF-LC. An option for a hardtop version and a convertible would be very nice too.

I don't like the look either. The only new Lexus that look good to me is the GS. The LS looks alright. The RC's front grille is just too big and ugly for me.

I want more details! What's under the hood, gearing, LSD etc and I imagine if it makes it into production there might be three models: 6 cyln 350 and 350F and perhaps an 8 clyln 5.0 F. $60k, $89k, and about $120k ish ... ???

I am guessing of course but it would have a V6 Turbo or maybe a breathed on V6. I suspect north of $80k starting. The original SC was a relatively expensive car. A V8 or 4 Cylinder Turbo seem very unlikely.
