Default Tpms

I simply check my new rims / tire with a gauge. To instal the TMPS in the new rims was redonkulious. I put a round rubber "cupboard bumper" marked with a blk jiffy marker over the dash light.. 😁
Most aftermarket rims I looked at did not facilitate easy TPMS.

WORK VS WHEELS
Front- 255/30R20 ZR. Pirelli PZero Nero

Rear - 285/30R20 ZR. Pirelli PZero Nero

You are correct on the Michelin tires. I obviously didn't pay enough attention to what I was typing in my original message. Sorry about that! And I'm also sorry you have given me the knowledge about the Costco price. I paid a lot more! Oh well!

I probably should just give up on this!

The tires that were on my SC430 when I bought it were Bridgestone run flats.
I now have-----and I'll get it right this time------Michelin Pilot Sport A/S-3-----size is 245/40/18. I paid $222.54 each plus tire disposal fee plus mounting and computer wheel balance plus N.C. state tax at a local tire company for a total of $1038.05.
There is a Michelin rebate program that will get me $70 back.
Sorry to be a Dummy. I'll try harder.

Many thanks Rudy,

I have to extend my thanks to Bgw70. I was trying to decide between the Tourmaline & the O.Z. Alleggerita HLT Matte Graphite Silver. The Tourmaline is very classy but you cannot go wrong with either

I decided to go with the Bridgestone DriveGuard Run Flat 245 /40 R18 97W XL BSW RF @ $196 per tire - DISCOUNT TIRE:

http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/tir...=AZDINT&cs=245

I was originally not going to go with another set of run flats. But after researching the subject now for several weeks, there were five things that swayed my decision.

#1 - Pricing - Discount Tire's price of $196 cannot be beat anywhere else.
#2 - Reviews/Ratings: TireRack.com's numerous reviews for the DriveGuard tire beat out Michelin and Pirelli: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....del=DriveGuard
#3 - 50,000 mile / 5 year TREADLIFE WARRANTY
#4 - Keeping with the run-flat keeps the SC 430 SYNC with the tire-pressure monitoring system - AND allows the spare tire to work (versus non-run flats).
and FINALLY:
#5 - I lucked out in meeting another SC430 driver who purchased the DriveGuards the day I stopped by Discount Tire to check them out. A few days later we arranged for him to pick me up and both drive with him and then actually drive his vehicle with the DriveGuard Run Flats on. The drive was smoother than the $340.00 per tire Bridgestone Potenza R040's I had on the car (whose treads wore down @ 15,000 miles !!).
Yes, the run-flats prolly will never run as smoothly as a non run-flat; but the "whole package" of #'s 1 through 5 above added up to my decision.
Total cost out the door in California = $952.28. PLUS I get a $70.00 rebate to boot.

They sold out of the DriveGuards, so they re-ordered my set.
I'll check back here again after I've gotten them and drove some mileage with them.

I have a:

2006 SC430 - low mileage (under 30,000k)
