Best tires I ever had: Toyo Proxes 4 Plus, 255, 285
Cheapest wheels I ever bought: OE Wheels Mustang Cobra, 18x9, 18x10, $350 per set
Were the Cobra wheels a direct fit?
I was the second buyer of the original Cobra knockoffs (the first ever made) back in 2001, and 18x9 Chrome R's ran about $280 per wheel! I put them on my Tbird, and it really looked awesome. Unfortunately someone else thought that also, and stole it! My Cobras with Michelin XGT Z4 rubber, was around $2k. I want to get those same tires again, they were so good.. I have these Korean Nexens on my car now, not horrible, but not good at all, but they are relatively new so Ill wear em down first.
I wanted to get those wheels again on something else in the future, and if they work on an SC, then I can totally see myself getting them in 18x10 size in the future!
... I do know that the Mustangs share the same bolt pattern as the Sc, for some of their model years.
As much as I've contemplated getting some cool non-lexus wheels, I can't get away from picking up great deals on OEM Lexus wheels with nearly new tires already mounted. My latest acquisition is some like new GS wheels with new Michelin tires. Before that was my perfect condition GSpiders with low mileage Yokohama tires.
