No sooner do I make a post and an email from Metra hits my inbox. Disappointing response from Metra. They say "...it’s best to use the same vendor when dealing with a data system. I recommend using the ASWC-TOY-LEX in combination with the TYTO-01 harness."

I think I'd better ask the installer a few more questions.

Did you do anymore investigation on the ASWC interface.
Almost sounds like you don't need the beatsonic unit
I'm getting ready to install a pioneer in my 03sc430

Just got off the phone with Metra. They advise waiting on the ASWC-toy-lex unit as they are having problems with the interface and working on a software upgrade

I suppose it is too early to expect that Metra has fixed this problem??
