Parting Ways with SC430 but is this downgrading?

So after getting the bug and modding my SC430 and having an explosive relationship with for nearly 4 years.
My SC spends more time in the driveway and garage than on the road at the moment and I think Its about time i change to something new.
I know i wont ever get the reliability of an SC430 & I don't like downgrading cars. Would you consider the AC below a downgrade or upgrade.

IMHO it is comparing apples and rocks. I to would love to own an AC, (yes a kit, can't afford a real one) but from what I know about the ACs is the top isn't powered other than the power YOU provide. I'm also told that it has to be assembled every time you want to use it. Many times where I live it gets pretty warm so the a/c and the top up is pretty nice. Also this time of year the love bugs are out and with the top up they aren't a bother. Also when you go out on the town she doesn't get her hair all messed up.
And lastly when the top is up on the AC they don't look nearly as nice IMHO.

I forgot in the last post, you have a fine looking ride already. I think it would be a downgrade, you would be spending more time in the driveway and garage than you do now. I'm sure it gets hot and cold where you live, not even getting into which one is more dependable.

Good to see you still have the SC Will, just.
Be great to have the AC if you could keep it in a garage and use it on a nice sunny day without any chance of rain (not very often we get those days in London is it?).
The SC is probably just as rare as an AC in the UK, so both have the 'unusual quality' although the AC would certainly turn more heads.
Not sure I would want to park the AC anywhere other than my drive, its hard enough having to park the SC away from 'people' in London.
Personally I would stick with my SC, but if you don't go for the AC you may regret the 'if only' in the future.
Get the AC for this summer and keep the SC for awhile. Sell one of them at the end of the summer when you have time to decide.
Cheers

I vote for the SC since the AC isn't original. Hard to imagine driving it everyday in traffic! If it was the real deal I'd day make the swap, the orginal Cobra is one hot ride! Although I'd never consider one for my daily driver, having said that I don't drive the SC every day either, I treat it as my weekend treat. My wife on the other hand would love to drive it to/from work, in which case I'd have to hide both sets of key!

Will,
Steve has a great point. If you have them both for a few months you can make the best informed decision. You may find that the side exhaust is fun at first and just deafening after a few weeks. If that's the case you can just flip the AC and break even or better. If you sell the SC and want it back you may be at a much greater loss. Either way it will be a fun summer!

Thanks a lot for sharing thoughts on this guys. I will go with Steve's advice and have both for a while before parting with one over the summer.
Interestingly, there is now an awesome harttop for the ac which may make it usable during the winter.
Will post feedback

Hi,
I was wondering are, you selling it or just acquiring something else? If your selling, I'd like to know more about it.
