New neighbor... Just moved in!
Hello, and happy Friday to everyone! As you may have surmised from the title, I am new to the Lexus Forum. I have read much and learned much from this Forum for quite some time, and decided I'd better join. As I have stated in a previous post, I feel as though I know some of you already. My latest acquisition to the stable includes a newly purchased '08 SC430 last November. Couldn't be happier. Lexus has made and continues to make some of the finest if not the finest vehicles on the planet. I often get asked the question "What do you think of Mercedes?" etc. My general reply to that is "If I thought they were 'All that', I'd have one parked in my garage..." Alas, I do not. Here is how my Lexus bio reads, as I cannot seem to part with any of them.
2008 SC430/ 5,028 Current Miles/ Purchased 11/2013/ Starfire Pearl/ Ecru interior
1998 SC400/45,200 Current Miles/ Purchased 06/2010/ Millenium Silver Metallic/ Black interior
2002 LS430/34,800 Current Miles/ Purchased 11/2010/ Platinum Blue Pearl/ Ecru interior
Have a great weekend everyone, and thank you for welcoming me aboard!

Thank you guys for welcoming me to the Lexus Forum! I would love to oblige you with a few pics but sadly, am unable to figure out what should be a simple task. Grrrrrrrrrr! Should be able to 'drag and drop' a few directly on here, but that is not the case. Clicked on the box that says 'insert image' on the Forum... Mmmmm hmmmm....Opened up a photobucket acct. and uploaded a few on there, but can't figure out how to get them imported over here either. I am awash with anger right now and have decided upon a full retreat to my liquor cabinet for a couple rocks glasses of Crown Royal.

A few more assorted pics...
Here are a few more pics from different angles. Lexus has built and continues to build the finest quality, most refined, most reliable jaw dropping vehicles on the planet. I'm sure other Forum Members echo my thoughts on this. We can all be proud of this fact, and it is obvious from other postings and threads how we all feel about our cars. Enjoy, and happy motoring!

Thank you OBP! The paint on all three cars is actually flawless. Paint on each vehicle is original. I apologize for the poor clarity. The SC400 hails from Palm Springs Calif. and was purchased with 41,000 original one owner miles. Flew down and drove back. The LS430 hails from Fort Meyers Fla. With 28,000 original miles. Flew down and drove back. The SC430 hails from West Palm Beach Fla. 5,028 original one owner miles. Shipped to me via enclosed transport because of the weather. (He added a 2013 Bentley Mulsanne to his stable). Personally, I would have saved the $374,000.00 and kept the '08 SC430! His loss. lol.

I hate to admit it but these cars are queens for the most part. I've only put on 4,200mi. on the SC400 since purchased in 2010. 7,000mi. on the LS430 since purchased in 2010, and well, only a handful of miles on the SC430 from the transport drop off point to my garage. The 1991 Chevy K5 Blazer in the background of one of my pics sees the brunt of the inclement weather. I do however take the LS430 out for a walk and on longer trips with dry pavement conditions prevailing. The vehicles don't see snow or rain. I find it hard to justify driving them in foul weather if I have the truck to fall back on. However, come spring time... Adjustments will be made and the public will see the SC400 and SC430 on nice days. Absolutely cannot wait to drop that top! The original plan was to sell the SC400, (one of the lowest mileage specimens in the country) but I don't know if I can bring myself to do it.

I find it amusing that the 2008 SC430 has had its oil changed three times already. According to the Lexus maintenance records- Once at 500 Miles after break in, the second came 3,000 Miles after that at 3,500 Miles, and the third came 1,510 Miles after that at 5,010 Miles when the dealership took it in to sell it to me. I will of course drop it again in the spring to put fresh synthetic in it. Hahaha! That will be four oil changes in 5,028 Miles! Talk about a pampered life! I will then revert back to changing the oil every 3,000 Miles.
