anyone have the stock wheel chromed?
My dad is purchasing an SC and he asked for chrome wheels. The dealer said that they couldnt do it nor did they think that lexus even offered these wheels. Is this true?
I am from Louisville Kentucky but we are dealing with a dealer in atlanta. He ordered the SC before thanksgiving and we still have no SC. The dealer is claiming that blue with sadle interior is very hard to find. Last we heard they were outsorcing to the west coast. Dont you think that if lexus made a chrome wheel a dealer no matter where located would be able to get it?

Chrome wheels
You can get the wheels chromed.
Most cars in Arizona have chrome wheels. All the factory wheels coming from Scottsdale Lexus (one of two dealers in town) are chrome.
A local wheel distributor will do a chrome exchange for about $180 - $200 per wheel. He sends you four chrome, you send him back your non-chrome. Very reputable

I used Wheel Creations in Fresno, CA for chroming former Viper Rims.. they turned out amazing.. I'd recommend them in a heartbeat!
They do 70% of their business with dealers thoughout the country but do take in individual customers.
I think I remember paying $158 for chroming a non chromed rim and had to pay an extra $50 for rechroming -- due to the process being more involved for removing the chrome to re-chrome
The center caps cost extra to chrome.
In the case of our SC430, you have to purchase aftermarket pre-chromed discs which will cost you either $29.99 with an aftermarket 'L' in the center or $39.99 eACH for the ones with the authentic 'L' in the center.
