Default Hello! I'm new to the forum! Allow me to introduce myself….and a couple of questions

…I am a brand new Lexus owner as of today!

My name is Candice, and I live in the city that bears my name.

I have recently purchased the car of my dreams: a WHITE 2002 Lexus SC 430! Talk about a pure classic!!!!!!

I am a little overwhelmed, to say the least. I hope that this club Lexus forum is everything that I am hoping it is.

Also, you can find me at my website, www.CWigginsWorld.com

Look forward to talking with fellow Lexus owners! I have attached a picture of my brand new vehicle!

Xoxo,
C

Default Cruise control?

Just bought a 2002 Lexus SC 430 and I've never driven in it before! (Besides the test drive of course.) Is the cruise control sufficient?

Default The Dreaded Back Seat...

Hello again!

I'm new to the forum, & just purchased a 2002 Lexus SC430. I was wondering how many bodies can truly fit in the back seat (comfortable or not)?

When I went for my test drive it seems as though one adult can fit uncomfortably, 2 small children can fit rather comfortably? Is that accurate or no?

Please let me know what you think, an inquiring mind would like to know!

Hi Candice, welcome to CL, the best resource for SC430 owners anywhere in the world. Depending on where you position the drivers seat, you can fit either one kid in a booster ( behind the front passenger ) or two kids in the backseat. But in the latter case, you would need to have the drivers seat moved way up front which I do not like.

Cruise control works like any other regular cruise I have experienced - no issues.

Congrats on your WGC/Saddle SC430. That is an unusual exterior/interior color combo that we don't see that often. Love the saddle colored leather.

How many miles on your WGC SC ?

Welcome once again.

Congrates and Welcome!! You can get two in the back, but then nobody is comfortable. For the comfort of the two front people leave the back seat empty. I think you picked the best color combo, but then look at the one we have. lol.

Also I'd get rid of the pie tins. (hubcaps) But that's just me. Some people actually like them. To each their own.

Congratulations (again) on your acquisition and welcome to the forum.

Be sure to read the Stickies at the top of this forum's home page, there is a ton of useful information there. I see that you've already read several of the threads and that is a good start. There is information in this forum going back to the beginning of the model year (2001). The search button will become one of your most helpful tools!

The backseat's carrying capacity depends on the size of the occupants. My wife and I are short and have been able to carry large adults in the backseat, though only the front seat occupants were comfortable. I know other owners whose grandkids love the backseat. The backseats aren't very comfortable since you have to sit bolt upright. But, just always be the driver and you won't have to worry about it.
