Wheel Experts, 19" wheel help
Ok,
Looking at the Rohana RC10 wheel in 19" to add a little bit more rubber for the bad Seattle roads here.
Problem is, there appears to only be very aggressive or really high offset options:
19x8.5 +10 or +35
19x9.5 +20 or +40
I want to run 245/35-19 and 285/30-19 Cont. DWS
The wheel shop claims +10 and +20 will work fine.
I want to lower the car on coilovers at least 2".
Are these wheels even an option at those offsets?

Lead Lap
iTrader: (1)
so the size im running is:
I have :
20 x 8.5 (+ 20 offset) with 225/35/20 Front
20 x 10 (+23 offset) with 255/35/20 Rear
They pretty much match my fender line exactly, you can just see the lip slightly. Now I have made the diagram below to show you what my wheels look like according to the fender..
The offset they are offering you: The front wheel will Stick Out 10mm more then mine (look at pic of mine below for reference) and your rear will Stick Inside 4 mm less then mine. Which i find will look a little odd, it would be nicer to have them stick out nearly the same amount, or atleast the rear more then the front.. Specially if your lowering the car, your front should stick in more then the rear since the front wheels do the turning. Now as for lowering, my wheels are 20's and lowering 2 inches with 35mm tire thickeness, it will line up around 5 mm under the tire hiding the top of it which should work out.. your looking at 19's so thats 0.5 inch less in radius, you should be fine if your wheel is inside the fender line.. when lowering you usually want the wheels tucked in, but since the 10 offset will stick out in the front , it may touch the fender slightly over a bumpy road
The tires you want to use will fit on the wheels but they are alot wider then the wheels, I personally find that when the tires are wider they make the car more comfy but harder to steer since the edge of the tire sticks out and you push against it when turning.. Mine are same width and give a nice rounded edge for turning.. tires wider then wheels also tend to be more noisy. If you live in a warm place, I would recommend a very slight stretched look. Tires wider then wheels are also usually recommended for winter time for more traction..
just use this diagram to see how much another wheel will stick in or out what i wrote in yellow refers to the size you mentioned
