SC430 Axleback Exhaust System installed (VIDEO)
I picked up a Top Speed PRO 1 Performance axleback exhaust system off eBay for my 2006 SC430. I was looking for a different sound without going crazy with the cost or a difficult installation. I'm happy with the result since the cost was low, it was pretty easy to install, and it sounds pretty nice. The stock axleback exhaust weighs 28.5 lbs and the new system weighs 24.7 lbs. The combination of the extra horsepower and the 3.8 lb weight savings have significantly lowered my 0-60 time.
Here's a picture and video. Enjoy!

"Significantly"? I don't think so bro... With just the axleback you've probably gained like 2 whp, if even that. It might "feel" faster due to the sound. The exhaust looks great though, enjoy it.

Thanks!
Thanks! It does sound good.
In order for the sarcasm in my original post to have been more obvious, perhaps I should have said, "The combination of the massive amounts of extra horsepower and the 3.8 lb weight savings have significantly lowered my 0-60 time by at least 2 seconds. "
Who knows if I gained or lost horsepower. Actually, who cares, since it's rather insignificant either way. I wanted a different sound and that's what I got. I have no intention of spending the kind of money it would take to lower the 0-60 time on a luxury vehicle.
The video definitely sounds best on a sound system with some lower end.

I installed mine yesterday. Quality was superb, it was too quiet.... I have PPE headers, Megan test pipes, removed 3rd Cat + Pro 1 Axleback. so its now practically a straight pipe + axleback.
Volume only up by maybe 5-7% which is barely there which was disappointing I wanted the AMG growling sound. My only option is to open up my QTP electric exhaust cutout when I want to have fun.
But I did notice more torque during acceleration and smoother cruise, required less throttle input for cruise.
Worth it for the mid $300 price tag but if you want the noise look elsewhere.
