Good idea but the SC does not have a grille front. Some people have done them through the fender.

I ran my ram air hose to the bottom of the front bumper to still give some forced air effect. There are some vertical "slats," and my 3" hose fit perfectly into the space, and I secured it with zip ties. You'd never be able to see it unless you were under the car.

I have to check this out...mmmm

If I get the intake away from the engine bay then I will not hear that intoxicating growl…cannot have it all!

Well my Weapon R Secret Weapon intake is still in the engine bay and I still get the super mean growl. The ram air kit (3" hose) just channels more fresh cold air into the breather unit...

LOL....I know....but you could route the intake bezel towards the inside of the passenger side foglight. It will need some cutting and fabbing, but def doable.

Great set up, one question why is your air scoop still in place?

Kept the OEM air scoop b'c i liked the look and it filled up the engine bay without leaving empty space. Same reason I left the cut portion of the air box. Also, I felt leaving the scoop served to channel a little more air toward the breather element so I figured twice the air in the end.

ShawnOk, Weapon R Secret Weapon does not have air intake available for 06+?? How come a lot of air intake manufacturers don't not have them available for 06+ model? or maybe I'm missing something.....

I believe the Weapon R Secret Weapon should also fit the 2006+. When I purchased from them, I don't think they even had the 2002 listed. I contacted them directly and worked out a deal to be able to "test fit." Once i confirmed that it was able to fit, they updated their compatibility list and added 2002. I would suggested however that you do a ebay search and find a seller that offers a return policy, so in case you're not happy then you can always send it back. It's really odd that the 2006+ isn't there. You can always call and talk to Weapon R customer support, too.

You have a great point, that extra ram of air will help definitely! Why did I not think of that.

I might need to resurrect my intake plenum. Thanks a lot!

There's a OEM 10mm bolt that holds the scoop in place.

Brought down my OEM intake tonight from the attic and no dice, my Injen is set towards the radiator hence no space for the plenum, unlike yours it is set back pretty good allowing you to drop the intake. I also have a box and you do not.

I tried.
