I am using the ML amp and it is doing great.

On crutchfield it says not compatiable because it is not compatable!!! Meaning it is a 6*9 speaker that you are putting a 6.5" speaker in!! Also the adapter is only 6" so you have to cut it out some. If you have a question, call crutchfield they walked me through all the diminsions and decided it would work. I bought and installed it and it does. Any more questions????

Pull the damn trigger! Would I steer you wrong??

One last thing, what adapter did you get, Crutchfiled sent you one? Was it the generic SCOCH (?)

fj40ih8mud and ShawOk, how many hours did it take you to install that sub? I am considering if I have the skills to do the install. Looks pretty intensive to me (removing the rear seat, side panelings etc...) Also, what kind of modifications do I have to do to fit the stock speaker harness wiring?
Thank you!:

Wiring took me about an hour. mostly because I was checking and rechecking. I soldered the connections, and I am not all that fast.

Teardown and Install took me about 1.5 hours, with soundproofing and cleaning.

Sorry, just saw this question. I don't recall what brand. I thought they only had one. Yes, Crutchfield sent me one, but I had to call them to get it to add for free.

A BIG thank you to fj40ih8mud and ShawOk for guiding me through this DIY. Replaced with similar sub from MCM electronics & wired it in series as instructed. No more fuzzy sound! Solid bass now.

I've thought about front speakers replacement!!!
6x9 direct fitment in dual coils 4ohm each.
We can run them same way as we are doing our 8" sub mentioned here.
Any one?
I'd try them!!!!

I ended up with 6x9 to 6.5" adapters and RF 6.5" pro 8 ohm that everyone mentioned here. Same 8" sub from EBay too. Installation wasn't that hard!!!
Can't be happier... Thanks

Glad it went well Ned. I've been blasting the bass all summer and loving it.
