Thanks. I didn't have to. Just wanted something different after 7 years. This is the longest time that I ever held on to a particular car.

It's not even in the same league. I test drove a new E350 last year when we were looking at different convertibles and it wasn't even in the same league as 2006+ SCs we were looking at in terms of acceleration. The published E350 0-60 times are correspondingly slower.

The one down side of the 2006+ SCs which I did not find with the 2002-2005 is that if you don't turn off traction control and you do a full slam the throttle down launch, the traction control will kick in every time and it doesn't light up the VSC light unless you actually go over a bump or something and it has to get more aggressive.

The only way to get fast launches is to turn off the traction control and you have to do it every time unless you want to turn off VSC by holding it down for more than 3 seconds, but that's removing too much safety.

The HK was nice for surround music, but not as nice as the ML for plain old stereo CDs.

I added a backup camera. Had to have that.

.
I think the HK is much better than the ML. The 350 doesn't feel any slower than the SC to me.
But then again, I'm not peeling out.

How much did you sell your SC for, it looks beautiful, the BEST color combination.

Hey OP, I'm going your way too. Got a 4.7 twin turbo Merc CLS 550 coming in Aug. It'll be quicker than the SC for sure but I cannot bear to part with my SC so I'llditch one of our other cars. Congrats on the Benz. I'm right behind you. Essex county NNJ.
