Go for the 2006. Depending on what car you have now, I dunno if you want to live without bluetooth for your cellphone. And in any event, the 2006+ cars have the prettier tail lights and 6 speed trans. With proper care, the 3UZFE engine will go well past 100k miles.

Yep, I was really heavily leaning on the 06

Are the changes that significant ? 6 speed cosmetics etc ?

But the mileage is 2x the 02

So out of the 2, which do you guys think is a better long term investment ? I like them both but the 06 has more miles. Decisions , decisions ?

What do you think?

Cheers
Neither is a good "investment" but I personally would choose the 06.

My Silver LS had the fender repainted because I scratched it pulling into the garage. You can't tell at all that it was painted. The front bumper was repainted by the dealer immediately before I bought it. You can't tell.

The 06 has many upgrades, such as 6 speed transmission, LED tail lights, Better headlights, newer wheels and slightly more modern NAVI system.

The 02 is 11 years old and if the timing belt is original it should be changed ($1000). The 06 will need the timing belt at 90,000 miles.

How are the tires on both? Tires will cost about $1000 if needed. If either of them have run flat tires you'll want to ditch them pretty quickly. Best if the 06 has new NON-run flats.

Both tires have about 50 % left

I think you guys talked me into the 06

I really like the silver and was on the fence with the 02 Gold

If the car you get has run-flats, bite the bullet and get standard tires. Plenty of discussions here on the brands that work.
