I just came on here to see if this had been posted.

The article I found about it, states...

"Toyota said it will notify owners by mail. Dealers will inspect the front-passenger airbag; if it is equipped with an affected inflator, the inflator will be replaced with a new one for free."

For some of us who don't have a record with Lexus, should we just call the dealer?

I am the 3rd owner as I know.

Just read the article, my 2001 Nissan Maxima is on the recall list too. Doh, I got double whammy.

Sign up on the Lexus Owner's and you will see if your VIN is affected. I will check mine soon.

I just checked on my Owner's website and so far no indication of a recall. But will periodically check and will let you know. Suggest you all do the same. 2001 to 2003 period of manufacturing.

Normally 2002's are made as early as mid-2001 and 2004's, as early as mid-2003.

I called my dealership and they indicated that my '02 wasn't in the recall, so I guess it's vehicle specific.

Well it is official, mine is included in the recall, I still have not done my Clip recall service for my RX...

yes, I just call lexus headquarter and local lexus dealers , recall for 03 lexus sc 430, airbags inflator modules, but no parts at local lexus dealers, they waiting for parts

I bet with the members here, we can figure out the approximate cut-off. Habious's 2003 had a July build date and was NOT included.
