You will need a 2 post lift and engine lift. The space is so tight that you need to raise the engine an inch or so.

Ahhh like the look of the air intake...will order it today. Will start there...

Start lifting the motor is not my cup of tea...maybe on an old volvo or something but not on my lovely Lexus.

I think this will be a first perfect project, next project will be a speaker repair project (that I found lot of great instructions of on in the forum).

When it´s time for next larger project, I will turn to the forum or maybe my close danish friend

Thank you guys!!!

The one shown in my picture is no. 188-540A.

If you search for vehicle on the cusco website ... Www cusco co jp. you have to search for the Toyota Soarer Type UZZ40. Price is 15,000¥ or 15,750¥ depending where you look and the inventory show 'X'. Imwould write them or perhaps their distributor in the UK

Good luck

No rubbing at all. I'm going to order the new quick release levers to make removal easiernwhen I do some engine work ... Like new plugs :-)

I ordered from www.nengun.com but over a year ago. They might be able to locate one though.

187540A and 188540A will both fit from the looks of it. I have the 187540A and it doesn't rub against the hood insulation. It does contact the engine cover in 2 small places but some adhesive felt pads (invisible to anyone) prevent any rubbing.

They are both shown on various sites as fitting.

Hi Mandel

European cars do not have the OBD canister (something to do with US emissions I think). All I did was use the hose, but cut it so that it goes under the engine cover (looks better) and use a bolt or some kind of plug to seal the end and use a jubilee clip to secure it.

Best regards
steve

THANK YOU!
We plugged it also but when I saw pics on the forum I got worried I did something wrong
I LOVE the sound of the intake/motor now
