Default 2007 Lexus Pebble Beach price?

I saw this beautiful 2007 Lexus sc430 pebble beach on cars.com. The seller is asking $34,000, the car has 3 owners and 32k miles. The service history seems spotty. This is the only 2007 pb I have found. He says the car comes with 100k warranty(CPO?) but I don't think it transfers. Please advise what I should do. Should I get it? What would be a good price?

Thanks in advance.

you are correct about the CPO 100k warranty not carrying over.

$34k seems pretty high, especially because its already had 3 owners, and spotty service records

private party bluebook puts it at about $30,000 in excellent condition .
retail is at $32,000

i wouldnt pay a penny more than $29000, maybe $29500 and thats pushing it...

if your considering buying his for $34000 .....
ill sell you mine for $32000 with 8000 more miles ... and i have all the service records + backup camera and ipod integration!

Usually CPO's will transfer with a fee paid. Be sure to check, and if so, who's paying it.

Looks to have a good history, but if you're serious check with the other car check service Autocheck or whatever it's called.

Double check cost to ship to you or your cost to fly out and drive back. He's about 3-5 thousand over high blue book as well. Possibly for room for him to negotiate and still be at high bluebook.

Nope. While Lexus Extended warranty is transferable unfortunately a CPO warranty is not.

Looking at the history I would not be concerned. It looks like its been a relatively problem free car. Most likely oil changes were done but not by a Lexus dealer.

Asking price is a little high but if this what you are looking for and its in mint condition there aren't many around to choose from so make an offer. I bought my wife a mint CPO 07 a few months ago with only 14k miles on it and it drives and looks like new. It came with 5 keys, 3M clear bra, iPod integration, 3M Crystalline tint new tires and Lexus spare tire kit. If your happy after the sale you'll forget what you paid for it. I did

I'm surprised it doesn't transfer. Could the original owner cash it out, assuming it hasn't been used?

I just looked at the cars.com listing. It doesn't say CPO warranty. It may be an 8 yr/100k Lexus Platinum Warranty which is transferable. I would ask. If so this would give you a piece of mind as it would e covered until 12/2014 as original delivery date was 12/06

If its a CPO warranty it will expire as soon as you take possession.

Nope. http://www.lexus.com/cpo/overview/warranty.html

"Transferability
The Lexus Certified Pre-Owned Limited Warranty is not transferable to any subsequent owner."

AND
"Warranty Period
The warranty period begins on the date you purchase your Lexus Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle. The Lexus Certified Pre-Owned Limited Warranty is applicable three years from the purchase date or for 100,000 total vehicle miles, or until the date on which you transfer your Lexus to a subsequent owner. This warranty is not transferable to any subsequent owner."

It also cannot be cashed out

Now Lexus Platinum warranty is transferable you can get prorated refund for unused life, whether you used it or not! I got a 66% refund on my Toyota Platinum warranty when I traded in my Avalon. The Toyota Platinum warranty is identical to the Lexus version.

http://putnam-extended-warranty.com/...inum-warranty/

“The Lexus Extra Care Platinum Warranty can be transferred from one owner to another, and you can also be reimbursed for the unused portion of it if you end up trading your vehicle in.”

I agree with 29k being all the money.
