Default Trunk open

I recently ordered new trunk support tubes for my SC. Got all the infor from the forum, Off and on in 15 minutes, glad I did, the old ones were weak and was only a matter of time before I got hit in the head.

However, now to open the trunk is a bugger, really tough in the first 12 inches or so and I find that I have to use my finger tips to press under the lip to lift. Dont know how my wife is doing that with fancy nails and such. Any one have a better method to lifting the rear lid?

Not really any other way of getting it up than to put your fingers in.

Maybe with time it will break in and loosen up. Did you get OEM replacements? If not, then they maybe just too much for the this car.

A woman has no business going into the trunk of a car. Keep her in the passenger seat where she can look pretty and enjoy the ride.
A real man would do the heavy lifting involving those tasks related to trunkage.
