Default Headlight Washers - What to Do?

My headlight washers spray my entire hood when I hit the windshield washer. I read that this happens automatically either when you have the headlights on and/or when the temp. drops below 45 I think. I asked Lexus service whether they could disable the headlight washers and they checked and said they can't disable the headlight washers. If they detach hoses to headlight washers it will drip. They also can't redirect the spray. Anyone else bothered by the mess on the hood caused by the headlight washers?

I left mine off for cosmetic reasons when I installed my kit. They plugged the ends of the hoses with screws and clamps. Haven't had any leaks.
