Default Extended warranty battle

The engine in my 2002 failed at 106k. I had an extended warranty in place but the claim was denied because "the tech did show that an internal engine part had failed." I am going to pursue the claim and I need to find an expert to tear down the engine and diagnose the failure. Anyone know of an expert in Florida that can assist?

Therein lies the problem. The warranty terms state that I must pay up front for teardown of the engine to diagnose. The engine was ultimately removed and torn down to the point where the main bearings were examined. The independent inspector determined that the bearings were worn but within tolerances. The original issue was knocking on startup and barely staying running. The insurance company determined that a covered claim had not occurred since the exact faile depart had not been identified. The warranty covers any internal lubricated part that is damaged by the failure of an internally lubricated part. In order to get back up and running I authorized installation of a used engine and retained the original motor. The tech ultimately determined thatt the next step is to tear apart the heads to find the problem. I decided to cut my losses and cut off paying the dealer labor rate to diagnose. The dealer was reasonable and treate me extremely well. However, I paid almost 10 grand for the repair and I am still unable to prove the cause of loss to the warranty company. Hence, I need an expert opinion as to the cause of the engine failure to attempt to be reimbursed. Any help is appreciated.

Who is your extended warranty with?

What does it cover per the terms and conditions?
