Has anyone had a problem when going over speed bump or drain at the end of your driveway?
My roof makes a popping noise?

It's not unusual for these roofs to make various noises when encountering bumps or rough road surfaces. Mine makes a clanking sound from the right rear portion of the roof off and on. The dealer has made many attempts to fix it, but it keeps coming back. There are a lot of hinges and moving parts in the roof. Any number of them can rattle.

Mine does the same thing. I notice it mostly when I drive over a "drain in the driveway" at an angle instead of head on.

Same issue on a 2002 here, quite annoying!

I have a 2005 and have experienced the same noise. Two fixes: when you open the roof, stop it half way. It reveals a round rubber bump stop under the rear parcel shelf. It winds up and down. if you raise it, it presses harder on the shelf and stops the pop (sqeak). Also, lubricate all the roof and boot(trunk) rubbers with glycerine (glycerol). The glycerine stops the rubbing and reduces any creaks, pops and groans
