I am in the process of installing a complete aftermarket stereo system in my car. I am going with the JL audio 3-way component system for the insides, 2-10" JL w3 subs in the trunk, and JL amp. I intend to remove the spare tire tools and use the bottom of the car as a mold for the fiberglass bottom of the subwoofer box. At the top it will be met with 3/4"MDF with 2-10" circles for the subs, of course it will be raised about 4" to give more air space and clearance of magnets.

Anyone care to share pics of their trunk setup?

...would be interested in seeing set ups also. I'm in the process of redoing my low end output & looking for ideas. I was thinking about removing the spare tire tools also, but putting a single 10 or 12 in it's place. Second thought was to have a cabinet built to fit/fill the rear sit area & have it upholstered exactly like the factory interior

I planning to install a similar setup. Did you need to do any type of additional installation for amp power such as the Big 3 or installing a capacitor? Also, where did you ground your amp?
