Mark Levinson SC 430 speaker repair?
Any experience in having your speaker fixed/replaced would be appreciated. Getting this fixed at the dealer would be a last resort. Any thoughts? Thanks,.

Speaker repair
Just did mine last weekend was easy used the kit from simply speakers
Even with postage to the uk it was less than 45 dollars so good value over new speakers
Only thing to be careful of is door panel clips
Just be gentle and all will be ok
Mine were very rotten on foam around edge and now sound 100% better

If anyone has done this recently, is the speaker repair fairly straightforward ?
Also, I've seen a recent Youtube video on this, where the chap didnt remove his door card and went underneath, scrapping his knuckles to remove the speaker - I didnt fancy doing this (I'm likely to break something if I can't see it) so is it straightforward to move the doorcard away for access ??
Thanks

Speakers
As in post # 4 I did mine last week. Very easy
Remove panel completely as it much easier to work on everything
You may have to fight with the panel a bit to remove it but push up while you pull on it and it will move
Good luck and it is worth the work

My Journey
If you want to read about my journey take a peek at: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...n-success.html
Bottom line: I'm not good at repairing anything, so I had my 6 x 9's repaired at a top stereo shop rather than replaced. I did this after a fair amount of research and chatting with folks on this forum. I was very happy with the result and the price.
Best of luck!
Mike
