Default Red and amber lights at top of gauges

Just picked up my SC430 and i see these little red led lights at the top of the gauge cluster go on and off. Also a larger amber light on the center gauge. What are they telling me?

They seem to be telling us that you have not read the owner's manual and that you don't know enough about the car yet to be trusted with it for solo operation.
I say: back to driver's school.
Or try "search" on this forum.
Or maybe describe the icons that are being illuminated.
"Red and amber flashy-blinky lights" is too vague for us to be of any assistance.

Congratulations on your purchase, first of all.

Which lights are going on and which ones are flashing? When does this occur? All lights come on when starting the vehicle.

My used 02 came with a 05 manual and I did check it before posting here. I remember my salesperson telling me it had a built in radar detector. Is it possible the 2 red lights and the amber light are radar messages if lit and making no ice. I can't hear high frequency sounds but others in my car hear them. They do seem out of place but professionally installed.

Must be aftermarket, certainly not OEM. 02-05 were very similar...but if you go the http://drivers.lexus.com and sign up for free, not only can you get the dealer maintenance history on your car, but you can order a set of manuals and see the 02 version online too.

"Built in radar detectors" are rare because they don't work - mostly because the sensor is mounted down close to the road, rather than high up on the windshield, and because weatherproofing inhibits performance as well. If there is such a device in your car, we or the manuals cannot be of much help as none of us has ever seen such a thing. A photo of the lights to which you refer would be helpful, as we will recognize readily what we have been looking at every day for 10 years or so.
Here's another tip that we don't pass along to just anyone: don't take anything a salesman tells you at face value - verify it yourself. Not that they are dishonest; often they just don't know or get confused about all the models and accessory packages they have to deal with.
Now, if, as you imply, your car starts "making . . . ice" on occasion, that would be something we would all be interested in.
Especially this week.
