Default borla exhaust, axle back.

finally uploaded a video of my sc430 with its borla mufflers. i may remove the resonators down the road to give it a little more throaty sound, but we'll see...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5bDf_...ature=youtu.be (part 1 w/ resonators)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ajh-V...ature=youtu.be (part 2 w/o resonators)

I definitely like the sound a hellllluva lot better. Like Husker said, the most noise comes from around 1500rpm, but after that it purrs real nicely. Windows down, you can hear the exhaust a lot more versus windows up. I havn't noticed any drone; however, I havn't been on the freeway, so I'll let you know once that happens. It also feels a bit more torquey and breathes a little better.. The video cut short at the end cuz my phone's alarm went off, but you get the idea though...

Hope this helps any newbies!

Take those resonators off! I guarantee you won't be sorry. It sounds so much better.

It's a little expensive, I paid $600 total including labor. Magnaflow is a good alternative/cheaper choice, but I preferred the Borla sound.

I can't agree more. Delete those resonators and you will love the sound even more. Cost me about $50 at a muffler shop.

Yeeeah, your guys thoughts have been on mind since the shop was done with my car. The guy also said he could take off the resonators for that price...so a part 2 video might be in the near future.

Great! When I got new mufflers, I just had a drone at 45 mph and the exhaust was a little louder. But
now after the resonator delete, at about 3000rpm, the exhaust just purrs. It doesn't sound as stupid as a mustang but it is nice and sporty. My friends have compared it to a porsche exhaust. Just a great sporty sound through the entire powerband. I've found the sweet spot where if I hit the gas correctly, the transmission throws down into second and the exhaust sounds incredible.

Default Muffler part number

I know I'm digging up an old thread here but does anyone know what part number borla muffler the OP used? LOVE the sound of this thing!
