Costco tire buy/TPMS ?
Anyone have any tpms issues after having tires installed at Costco?
I need to replace my pilot sport A/S Plus pretty soon and Costco does lifetime rotate and balance which ive never had a problem with when they did my 4runner w/o tpms (3 sets of tires)...but just wondering if having tpms requires any special coding or anything.
Keeping the current wheels on car also if that matters.
NOTE: When i had this set (wheels and tires) put on at toyota dealer, they had to do some reprogramming if memory serves.
Thanks.

I've had Costco mount tire on three different cars with Toyota/Lexus TPMS devices. No issues whatsoever. But to be clear I've always used the manufacturer's recommended tire size.

Plus 1 on Costco. 100% satisfaction guaranteed. They are trained for the TPMS.
BTW, Costco has the Michelins on sale $70 off a set of 4. $1,130 out the door, all inclusive. I will post what model quoted. Same OEM size.

They also offered me a Bridgestone set for $1100 ($70 off applied). I forgot the model. The tire guy suggests that Bridgestone was better than Michelin. Bridgestone coupon will start the 16th of June.
Both had the 45,000 mile warranty. I will post which models were offered.
I have been itching to dump my RFT’s. When I do, I will get the TPMS sensors and sell it as I do not use the TPMS right now. When I installed my new to me used set, I decided not to pay to re-program the sensors.
In the meantime I have dropped my pressure to 31 psi to lessen the rough ride. I really do not like the RFT’s.

Yeah thanks for the rebate headsup. Dealer charges me $80 for rotate and balance and i do it every 5k and drive a lot so significant savings. Using the standard tire size so thanks Bob for that.
Interesting to note that form me personally, i run the a/s pluses at 37 cold psi and live at about 4500ft. Seems to work best in my situation and its kept the tire from wearing out the sides. I'm not a maniac by any stretch but do like to drive.
They've got 36k on them with 6/32 left in center and 4/32 towards edge on all 4. I know they come with 10/32 in center...but not sure about what edge tread depth was new. A bit more road noise now but i think i got my money's worth. Even if i replace at 40K.
Was it here on this forum (coulda been acura) i read that at 4/32 tire loses ability to displace water so i have no problem doing it sooner rather than later.

I'd also note that michelin makes a rft in this model for about $15 more a tire (at costco). A friend of mine put them on her 430 and much prefers them over the bridgestone rft they replaced.
I think im gonna stick with the standard though

Been looking at this. What was the total after install and hazard warranty?

I think one advantage of the conti's over pilot's are they arent directional...but i love my michelins.
Tire rack has lots of reviews on both tires and you can sort by make of vehicle so that may help u decide.
