WOW! not getting much sleep with my SC and the new multimedia system. Factory nav works as back-up camera or factory nav or with the flip of a switch a DVD player. and I do not use as a distraction-only music video as evidenced by pics. Easy to ignore when its not a show or movie-for red lights and stops only.

Choice of nav up or nav down with no subscription traffic. My 02 now has bluetooth for phone music, AHA radio, and Pandora. Also music/videos from SD or Flash.

Bob, much as I want to upgrade, may have to wait. I am leaning on getting a new set of rubber, dump the RFT's. That is priority than the CD player, however I am on the hunt for a replacement OEM Radio.

Your tip on masking the leather was invaluable. My leather is intact. Thank you.

Are you able to adjust the brightness of the pioneer unit for night driving?

EDIT: Nevermind, I found the answer in the manual lol. Yes screen brightness can be adjusted.

Couldn't agree with you more Bob. I don't need anymore distractions than I already have. I also think its a distraction for other drivers. That's the way I feel when I pass another vehicle when I see someone watching a movie in their vehicle. I only use playback when I am stopped or more often, when I am waiting for my wife at the mall. I've seen too many drivers who look like they are driving drunk when they are texting. I also have found myself distracted trying to use all the functions that the pioneer has-I now always do adjusting before the wheels move. We unfortunately are becoming much more distracted with all the technology around us.

Thanks for all the compliments on my setup. It took me a long time to afford a car like this and another 4 years for the technology that my wife has had for 4 years now. It IS worth the wait.
