Anyone else experience this? When I enter an interstate clover leaf entrance at about 45 mph, an alarm starts chiming until I slow down. Posted speed for the entrance is 15 mph, but what fun is that lol.

An alarm? You mean like the door ajar "buzzer" ( as described in the owner's man, but I'd call it a chime)????

Could it be your VSC engaging? Like it just keeps beeping because the tires are spinning or your car drifts a bit?

I'm curious...check your owner's manual re: brake booster. I could "see" centrifugal forces when entering a tight clover leaf at higher speeds causing a temporary change in the brake fluid reservoir triggering the buzzer. Question did you notice brake instrument panel light being illuminated too?

Brake fluid looks good and no lights on the dash when it happened twice. The sound could be a chime. The first time it happened, the chime overlayed the radio. The second time, I turned off the radio to listen for it and the sounds came from the driver door speaker. Wheels never lost traction and VSC light did not come on that I noticed. It's hard to fully observe everything while staying off the guard rail.

I'd sure go with the VSC kicking in. When the car is not going where the steering inputs are commanding it the VSC works to correct it. When the error exceeds the VSC's ability to correct it then the VSC gives up and starts beeping telling the driver "I DON'T HAVE IT - YOU'VE GOT IT NOW!"

This car is a whimp, In my 10 years of ownership and hard driving all 10 years, My GS400 beeped once at an almost 90degree turn doing 80 with 4 people in the car.

My SC beeps and engages brakes at a 45mph S curve.

Turn off VSC, Go through the same corner.

Haha! My first car was a GS400 and I'd have to say the same exact thing. This car is a lot quicker to engage VSC.

This is our only Lexus with VSC. I have a love/hate relationship with it but it has only chimed a couple of times!

On some of the German manufactured cars you can ask to get a motorsport chip, or ask the dealer to make the stability control systems less intrusive and this give you a bigger margin for play.
Is there any way to dial it back a few notches rather than just switching it off, because when it's off, I seem to be nearly unable to pull away on a wet road without spinning up...

So, is there an SC 430 VSC dial-back option ?

I had the opportunity to enter the freeway again yesterday, but the road was damp from an earlier rain. It did not chime while I was watching for the VSC light to illuminate. Not sure if I held my speed high enough fearing the damp road may lose traction. I'll test it again on a dry day.

I've been thinking about this thread. I also love to push it on the curves and I have never heard the chime. Perhaps the radio is too loud. But I did some upgrades on the suspension which greatly improved the feel and handling on the curves so I am wondering if you have had you bushings checked for example? I changed all the bushings for the Daizens, added a strut tower brace, and lowered 1". The member from down under stresses the weak stock suspension for the deliveries in the US compared to AU and Japan. Just a thought...

I put in new steering rack bushings from Sewell's and Megan EZ coilovers and dropped about 1.25". It handles great, which is why I'm into the fast turns. Even when I had the radio on, I could hear the chime going off. Really strange since the car does not feel like it is even close to breaking traction. It's almost like an accelerometer is triggering the chime versus a wheel breaking free.

This just happened to me tonight while making an aggressive turn while in reverse. It continued to beep even when I stopped the car and shifted into drive and then abruptly stopped. It's not the same tone that the VSC makes which sounds more like a digital-noise or chirp. This tone was a series of high-pitched and rather loud tones. Totally different than what you'd get with any of the dash-lights (ie: washer fluid or TPMS), door ajar, seat-backing up (after a battery disconnect) etc. I've never had it happen before.
