No there is only one antenna . My manual has a missprint. The GPS antenna is in fact up front under the dash against the fire wall. I would still question the installer. It just seems logical taht somethiing was missed during the install.

Good luck let us know how you make out

im almost sure that the cable for the antenna thats in the front of the car was left unplugged, check if a little GPS icon shows up under the compass on the top left. If not then the antenna is not plugged in or has died. Mine died i hope you fair better. The NAV works both from your car's electronics such as your wheel speed etc and will also cross reference with the satellites so if its not doing that youll end up in feilds or in im case in the gulf of mexico.

found out why my gps wasnt tracking correctly. after inspecting all wires, found that the gps antenna was left disconnected. after connecting antenna, gps tracking works fine.

Where was it unplugged at ? In the trunk area behind the nav ecu .or if it was unplugged upfront where did it plug into ??. I have had my dash nav screen unit out several times and I have never seen a cable or antenna that plugged into it. The front nav has just two connectors plugged into it.

I would be curuious in knowing this

I hope the installer was the one that had to fix it . If not I would be sure to send him the bill, There is no excuse for not plugging back in what you disconnected !

I know this an old thread,

Has anyone put eyes on the GPS antenna?

If so, what year is your car and where was it located?

If you contact NavTool, you can get a $25 Club Lexus discount making it $175. The camera has a wide range from $20 to >$100. I just ordered mine last week.

When you wire in the camera, there is no need to cut wires...

camera install begins at post 15

Just for the sake of options for the video intergration, I will mention I used NAVIKS which is very similar to NAVTOOL. They are based out of New York's OneWayAutosports. Great customer support. Just thought it was worth mentioning. I don't get any referral points or anything, just for anyone weighing their options. I also got a fair priced camera through Walmart.com. Crimestopper 180 degree CMOS camera.
