I believe these rules were put in place to protect buyers. There was a situation approx 2 years ago where a well known member had listed items that were expensive sold them collected the money and the items were never shippped.I dont think it was ever resolved. I believe that after this happened new rules were put in place to prevent this from happening again. I think through private messages buyers and sellers can deal with each other at there own risk.
