The tires in the rear are 285/25. I ordered the tires and rims together at a rim shop and that is what the shop recommended.

I'm glad that you can relate with me and situation so well. Your confession of your own problems really echo your maturity and your ability to act like an adult.

That's part of the problem. You should be running 285/30. That'll give you more of a sidewall. You should probably run either 235/35 or 245/35 on the front depending on the wheel width and offsets.

You may also want to raise your coilovers an inch or so.

25 series just not enough, especially on a 10" wide rim. Wow! Talk about rubber bands. I'd go back to the tire shop and tell them it isn't working out maybe they will cut you a deal on the right size on them, since they were the ones that recommended it. Maybe there is something they can do for you? I have 9.5" with 30 in the back, so there is a lot more meat.

I was starting to loose love for my SC when I had 20s with low profile tires. Went to stock size, car drives great, I expect to keep it until about 2016. Your issue is with your wheels not your car.

Your tire sizes are fine. Your offsets are fairly conservative, so you have more flexibility. You could also run 235/35 on the front if you want to. The overall diameter would be slightly closer in size to your rears (275/30) than your current tires (245/35), but both sizes should work well.

It's not so much his wheels as it is his tire sizes. He needs more of a sidewall for a daily driver and less camber. If he were to switch to 245/35 front 285/30 rear or 235/35 front 275/30 rear and raise his coilovers up an inch or so, that should solve the issues he's having. I'd only use run his current setup if all I did was roll my car out of the garage on weekends for car shows.

I've decided that I am going to downsize on my rims so that I do not run into similar problems in the future. I've had the stock wheels on for the past week and cannot go back to the rough ride that the 20's provided. Ideally, I'd like to get the stock g spiders but I'm still keeping an open mind.

I have posted the wheels in the CL classifieds. Feel free to check them out.

You will need an established member who knows you in real life vouch for you or else your thread will be closed. If no one here knows you in real life, you'll have to stick to ebay or craigslist.

Hi Liquid,

First, this is not to argue. I learned a long time ago to follow the rules.

I was looking in the classifieds some time ago & saw something about having to have 100 posts to list anything.

And now you say: You will need an established member

So what is the definition of established member?

Thanks,

Jerry Baumchen

You need at least 300 posts to list a high dollar item on your own. Any item over $500 is considered high dollar, but that price could be lower depending on the moderator's discretion.

For someone to vouch for another member, they must have over 500 posts, have been a member for over a year and know the seller in real life. They need to be willing to inspect the item to guarantee that it's in the condition described. And they must also be willing to help resolve any issues that might arise in the sale. Such as the seller not shipping the items or the items not being as described.
