CD Player, SC 430
In my CD player, tracks 3 and 4 will not play or release CDs. All other tracks are working. Any suggestions as to how I can get the CDs out and what the problem may be?
Thank you.
Thank you.

Try this...
- Select the disk you want to eject.
- Press the eject button.
- When the little door opens and you hear the CD player start making the little whirring sound like it's trying to eject the disk...
- Smack the side of the console by the stereo, open-palm. (this isn't a "hit it as hard as you can" moment, just a medium strength whack)
You can also get in there with a pair of tweezers or fine-point needle-nose pliers and get the disk out, but the "whack" method seems to work for most folks, and it's less intrusive.
If this does work, I would suggest you take all CD's out...then reload the player fresh.
Also, make sure you don't use any CD's with labels (stick-on CD-R labels). That's just asking for trouble.
The player does sometimes get stuck, even with store-bought commercial disks.

I just had this happen - error code 3 - couldn't read a store-bought CD that has been in the player and working fine for awhile. I followed the advice - hold down eject button while jarring the right side of the console. Worked like a charm. Checked the CD for debris/damage, reinserted it and all functions back to working. Will have to see if the problem starts recurring.

Tried this 2 nights ago, no go. Will try again tonight. Mine is the same Error 3 and I can nnot see a CD ready to eject.
